This journal club covers a broad range of topics relevant to extracellular matrix, including developmental biology, cancer and metastasis, organ physiology, fibrosis, and tissue engineering. The fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, developmental biology, and biomedical engineering are represented. Speakers choose one paper from the current literature to present, including a brief summary of the background to introduce the topic followed by an explanation of the results and their importance to the field. Presentations are given by students, faculty, and post-doctorates. Students recieve one credit for regular participation and for presenting one paper during the semester.
