\This class explores the basics of bio-entrepreneurship by investigating issues and choices that scientists encounter when they are considering the applications and commercialization of early-stage scientific discoveries. This is done through a series of guest speakers, case studies and team projects. The class is also structured to give students broad exposure to career options outside of academia with diverse guest speakers from start-up companies, venture capitalist, angel investors, technology transfer organizations, and corporations. Team projects provide a hands-on opportunity to learn what's important when pitching a technology or new idea. DBBS and Graduate students only. Same as B63 MGT 539
