Ion Channels Journal Club

How does bio-electrical excitability emerge at the fundamental molecular level? How do alterations in ion channel biology cause myriad diseases - from diabetes to heart attacks, from cystic fibrosis to epilepsy. Students in the TriMED pathway will participate in a one-hour lunchtime session (lunch provided), with a mix of work-in-progress, journal club, and didactic sessions. each week for 12 weeks per semester. Once per semester, enrolled students will present a work-in-progress seminar on their own research, or present a published research paper, as appropriate.
