      Susanne Renner's research combines systematics and phylogenetics with ecological-experimental work. She has worked on the mutualisms and biogeography of land plants, ants, bees, moths, and hummingbirds. Other foci are plant sexual systems, plant domestication, phenology under climate change, and the history of biological collecting.
